Jade Francesca has specialised in signwriting for the last ten years. As there are no official vocational courses offered in the traditional craft of signwriting, she is largely self-taught, and produces hand-painted, reverse-glass and gilded signs for personal and commercial use in her home county of Cornwall.
With support of a QEST Scholarship Jade will undertake a 5 day intensive course in traditional sign writing techniques at Carters Steam Fair in Maidenhead, 5 days of one to one tuition with gold leaf specialist Richard Walker in Hampshire and a 4 day advanced course in the traditional Victorian methods of reverse glass sign painting with David A. Smith in Devon.
