Matthew is a textile designer with an MA in Knitted Textiles from the Royal College of Art. His QEST Scholarship supported him during his second year of study, where is gained specialist knowledge, from compettency with Shima Seiki design software and Dubied knitting machines, to expertise in colour, materials and finishes of fabrics. He also worked with italian house Loro Piana to create a collection of knitted cashmere fabrics.
In 2018 Matthew’s boldly patterned and graphic knits won him the TexSelect Fashion Prize, the WGSN TexSelect Textiles of the Future Award and the prestigious The Woolmark Company TexSelect Award.
