Megan’s QEST Scholarship will support her during her second year at the Courtauld Institute of Art where she is studying the conservation of easel paintings. She will be developing her practical and analytical skills, and combining these with her knowledge of the materials and methods of artists and the chemistry of conservation, which she learnt in her first year. This will enable her to work more independently on new projects.
Megan has the desire to practise conservation in museums and major London studios upon graduating and is excited to start using everything she has learnt to perform successful treatments on important cultural artefacts.
