Megan Levet

2019 QEST London Art History Society Scholar - Painting Conservation
Hertfordshire

Megan’s QEST Scholarship supported during her training at the Courtauld Institute of Art where she studied the conservation of easel paintings. She chose to specialise in modern and contemporary conservation in her final year, completing research on acrylic paintings.

Throughout her studies, she completed internships at private studios and museums including Tate and The Ashmolean and is currently working in private practice in London as a freelancer.

Conservation is an exciting multidisciplinary craft that uncovers secrets and solves the problems essential in preserving the longevity of our cultural heritage. It is because of its diversity that I enjoy it so much, and I am keen to make conservation accessible to more people in the future.
