Craft & Collaboration, Dovetail Launches in New York

Dovetail launches today in New York City, bringing British craft and design to an international stage. Curated by author and Dovetail co-founder Helen Chislett, this new initiative champions craft and creative collaboration through a trail across Manhattan. Deborah Pocock LVO, CEO of QEST, joins Sarah Spiteri, Global Brand Director of Homes & Gardens, to lead guided tours of the Dovetail trail on 14 and 15 October, introducing visitors to the makers and the stories behind their work. The trail remains open until 30 October.

The programme shines a spotlight on 12 exceptional makers, including QEST Alumni and associated craftspeople, and Alumni of The King’s Foundation.

Dovetail is a dynamic new initiative presented in partnership with the British design industry and His Majesty’s Consul General in New York. The journey stretches across Manhattan from the New York Design Center at 200 Lexington, which offers a critical mass of British brands, to the A&D and D&D Buildings in midtown, and into a host of independent showrooms, both uptown and downtown.

The impressive roster of participating brands includes Artorius Faber, Christopher Farr, Colefax & Fowler, Collier Webb, Corston, de Gournay, Drummonds, Edelweiss, Firmdale Hotels and Kit Kemp Design Studio, Jane Churchill, Jennifer Manners, Original BTC, Romo, Savoir, Soane Britain, Vanderhurd, Vaughan, and Woodworks by Ted Todd.
