QEST Alumni Feature at Future Icons 2025
16th April 2025

Future Icons Selects is back for London Craft Week 2025, this time in a new Shoreditch venue — 83 Rivington Street. The exhibition takes over three striking industrial arches and a terrace garden, creating a bold new setting for one of the largest maker exhibitions at this year’s LCW.
Over 50 craftspeople will present work across disciplines including ceramics, textiles, metalwork and fine art. Among them are seven QEST Scholars, reflecting the breadth and excellence of our Alumni community.
QEST Alumni include Carl Fox (marquetry), Epona Smith (engraving), Fleur Grenier (pewtersmithing), Angela Fung (architectural origami), Jacky Oliver (metalwork), Valérie Wartelle (wet felting), and Willow Bloomfield (coppersmithing).
Future Icons Selects runs 15 – 18 May.
General admission to Future Icons is free, head to their website to reserve your spot.
QEST are proud media partners of Future Icons.

Epona Smith, renowned for her expertise in traditional hand-push engraving—an art officially listed on the Heritage Crafts Endangered Red List—has recently been named a finalist for the Heritage Crafts Award in the Precious Metal of the Year category. A former master engraver at Tiffany & Co., Epona will showcase a collection of handcrafted silver objects, featuring intricate Florentine engraving.
Carl Fox is a London based artist, working with the ancient techniques of marquetry and parquetry. Renowned for his innovative fusion of leather and wood veneer, his work is an exploration of human emotion through form, texture, colour, and line.

Willow Bloomfield, a dedicated coppersmith, works almost exclusively with recycled copper sourced from local scrapyards. Coppersmithing, now classified as a critically endangered craft, is brought to life in Willow’s work, highlighting the beauty and sustainability of this ancient metalworking tradition.
Angela Fung specialises in large-scale architectural origami installations and is a co-founder of Fung + Bedford. Together she and Ashley Bedford have carved a niche across the architectural, craft and art world, working as proud pioneers for origami.
