Cockpit is home to over 160 of the most exciting makers working today, including ten QEST Scholars. Their Winter Open Studios is a fantastic opportunity to journey behind the studio doors, experience a celebrated world of creativity and find something truly unique for your loved ones this Christmas.

You’ll find new and unique pieces of jewellery, ceramics, weaving, glass, textiles and so much more, made with love and for all kinds of budgets. You’ll learn about the slow design that’s paving the way for a more sustainable and ethical future. You’ll interact with material quality, design innovation and the rich stories behind the work.

These events are a chance for the public – as well as trade buyers, curators, interior designers and collectors – to delve into the makers’ journeys, buy directly from them and get involved in the buzzing craft community.

Featured QEST Scholars include leatherworker Candice Lau; jewellers Sarah Warsop, Jacqueline Cullen and Joy Bonfield-Colombara; willow weaver Patrizia Sascor; decorative artist Natasha Mann; wood turner Eleanor Lakelin; ceramicist Matthew Warner; luthier Daisy Tempest and tailor Jennie Adamson.
