Matthew Warner

2012 QEST Eranda Foundation Scholar - Pottery & Ceramics
Essex

Matthew is a London-based potter making refined and considered thrown ceramics. His work combines clarity of form with the subtle nuances of throwing, creating pieces that are at once familiar yet intriguing, classical and modern. Matthew’s work explores the complex ideas and social influences embodied within seemingly simple pottery forms.

Matthew studied Ceramics at Camberwell College of Art before spending three years working as a studio assistant to QEST Scholar Julian Stair, with support from a QEST Eranda Foundation Scholarship.
