The first QEST Northern Ireland Showcase Exhibition has officially opened! QEST was proud to be present at the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, February 1 at the Craft NI Gallery in Belfast.

The exhibition is the first of its kind in Northern Ireland, created in partnership with QEST and Craft NI. It celebrates the diverse range of work created by QEST Scholars and Emerging Makers from the island of Ireland, including jewellers, basket makers, saddlers and glass artists.

The Gallery was buzzing with the makers, their family and friends, members of the local community and community organisations.

As part of the opening afternoon, QEST Alumni Scott Benefield, Andrea Spencer and Cara Murphy delivered talks to makers in the community interested in applying for QEST funding, explaining their craft journeys and providing application tips.

QEST would like to thank Katherine McDonald, Director of Craft NI and QEST Ambassador, and everyone involved in making the exhibition possible.

The exhibition is now open to the public and will run until March 22, 2024.
