Four QEST Scholars have had work selected for FACE 2022, the annual show of the Society of Portrait Sculptors, currently on show at The Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, London.

Amongst over 100 of the finest examples of contemporary figurative and portrait sculpture are works by Thomas Merrett, Poppy Field, Sam Flintham and Andrian Melka.

FACE is unique in being the only annual show in the world devoted solely to portrait sculpture. Entries are chosen from international submissions and juried by a council of seven practising sculptors. The show features 108 sculptures by 82 sculptors from 13 countries, in media including stone, wood, bronze, plaster, paper, resin, hessian and terracotta. Featured works include tender portraits of sculptors’ friends and loved ones, maquettes for prestigious public sculptures, fond caricatures, monumental and miniature interpretations of human expression as small as your thumb or towering above you. Search the four rooms for important characters, from Greta Thunberg to President Zelensky.
