QEST’s 35th Anniversary at Goldsmiths’ Hall | 30 October 2025
7th November 2025
We had a wonderful evening celebrating 35 years of supporting excellence in craft in the UK at our Anniversary Reception at Goldsmiths’ Hall. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, including our Alumni, supporters, partners and friends, for making the night so special.
Held in the magnificent Livery Hall and generously sponsored by Penhaligon’s, with thanks also to the Goldsmiths’ Foundation, the evening brought together craftspeople from across the UK to celebrate skill, creativity and talent. Speeches from QEST Chair Lisa Montague and CEO Deborah Pocock LVO reflected on the Charity’s journey since 1990, celebrating over 900 Alumni supported through grants and training, and looked ahead to an exciting future for craft in the UK.
Guests enjoyed beautiful craft showcases from 17 QEST Alumni, alongside Penhaligon’s and Hamilton & Inches, who launched a Limited Edition Jewellery Collection in aid of QEST. Maquettes of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip by QEST Scholar Poppy Field were on display, and Julian Calder presented his new book, Skilled Hands, with a proportion of each sale going to QEST. Kate Holland also showcased a special, hand-bound, edition for QEST’s Anniversary Auction.
Canapés were served by Company of Cooks, with English Sparkling Wine from Gusbourne, alcohol-free Sparkling Rosé by Wild Idol and water by Hildon. A highlight of the evening was the charity raffle, with generous prizes donated by QEST Alumni and friends including Fortnum & Mason, John Smedley Ltd, Lock & Co. Hatters, Truefitt & Hill and many others.
Thank you once again to everyone who helped make this milestone celebration possible, and to all who continue to champion and invest in the future of craft.
