We were delighted to welcome over 100 guests to Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh earlier this week for ‘A Celebration of Craft’. Bringing together and showcasing the QEST Alumni’s work, it was a truly special occasion to honour their incredible craftsmanship.

The exhibition featured an impressive array of items by 26 Scotland-based QEST Alumni and QEST Johnnie Walker Scholars, including the chased silver Platinum and Coronation Vases made by Rod Kelly for The Incorporation of Goldsmiths, Edinburgh. The showcase also included textiles, ceramics, bespoke kilts, tailoring, and more.

A highlight was the Pict x Johnnie Walker Princes Street Guitar, crafted by Kurtis Scott from oak staves from casks, and copper from stills. The guitar was performed by Nicola Alexander, a member of the Johnnie Walker Princes Street team, during her performance of ‘She Burns’ at The Label Studio.

An edition of Diamond Jubilee by John Walker & Sons was also on display. This special edition whisky was created in 2012 by more than 60 craftspeople to raise funds for the QEST Diamond Jubilee appeal.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to Johnnie Walker for their generous support in making this event possible.
